“I am glad to hear that you detest Mr Darcy,” you say gravely. “I too cannot forgive his slight to my little Lizzy. I will seek him out at dead of night, sink my teeth into his neck and drain the noble blood from his body, before throwing his carcass to the werewolves.”
 
Strangely, your family think you are joking. Amid much hilarity, Lizzy begs you to leave Mr Darcy to her, so that she might have some sport with him. Once again, you see a great future for your darling child.
