Juliet Archer is a 19th-century mind in a 21st-century body. Actually, some days it’s the other way round …

She’s on a mission to modernise all six of Jane Austen’s completed novels in a series called - very unoriginally - ‘Jane Austen in the 21st Century’.

Her first book was The Importance of Being Emma, which was shortlisted for the 2009 Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance - you can read reviews here.

Next will be Persuade Me - you can read an extract here.

And third on the list is Northanger Nights - stand by, all you Tilneyettes!

The Events Calendar lists where Juliet is doing talks and book signings and Travels with My Book shows all the places in the world ’Baby Emma’ has been so far. Occasionally Juliet finds time to update her Blog (Juliet Archer’s Diary).
